Chiu Ling Wong is pure chinese. She is almost vegetarian and eats her packed lunch inside the classroom during lunch breaks. I normally spend lunch without eating during High School as I oftentimes work in the Library authorizing book borrowings and accepting returns, as well as returning books to their proper shelves, for my Book Club. I did receive a Silver medal upon graduation for all my hard work :P
Whenever I eat, I would just buy something from the canteen and go up the classroom and spend time eating lunch with Chiu Ling on our chairs. She would always ask me if I want a piece of her lunch. Looking at the healthy brown rice which occupies 1/4 of her lunch tray, while 3/4 of it was for the viands which I could not identify, as they were always some chinese dish with a twist, I always politely reject them :P I would tell my mom how come Chiu Ling eats more viand than rice and what is the purpose of that. Isn't that too salty or nakakaumay? Mom said it's how americans eat. I tried it once, and didn't liked it as a kid. As a grown up, it's another story though, I can eat all viand and no rice at all.
My dad drove her home once as she lives just nearby in Valle Verde. She let me inside her house, it was super clean and the marble floor was shiney. Her mom talks to her in nothing but chinese, that I couldn't bare staying too long there and feel out of place. I see her often in Megamall nowadays and she nods to say hi.
Cherry Fodorama is transferring from it's old location in Shaw Boulevard, just a few blocks away, to Old Wack Wack St. near Palladium. The construction is ongoing.

Ma. Cristina Licauco, niece of Socorro Ramos
"Don't seat there, Lani will seat beside me."
That's Cristina Licauco's words way back grade school at St Paul's. She doesn't like other classmates going near her, but she has a preference of always seating beside me everytime we needed to indian sit on the floor for conferences or film viewings.
Cristina is the reason I'm so "malakas" at National Bookstore haha. The mere mention of her name gets attention from any of the staff. They always go their way to find the french titles I need, help with the office and painting supplies when I need them, and always treat me well. I guess they do that to everyone, not just me though :P Mrs. Ramos has a very high customer satisfaction standard and will not take lightly any emplyee who will not treat the customers as always right in her company.
Cristina already lives in the United States and I have no more news about her.

Rachel Alejandro, beauty and brains
Not everyone knows how amazingly intelligent Rachel Alejandro is. She is my batchmate at St. Paul Pasig. We are not close but everyone noticed her way back Grade 2 as she was the Mother Goose in our school play. I was just a mere lowly mouse in that play. She was not only the prettiest person in school, she had the biggest boobs haha. I can't believe we were all taking about her boobs at Grade 2. She grew them really fast.
Rachel is the First Honor in our Grade School batch. She had the highest grades. She had a drift with one of the Math teachers, and she refused to take her Math classes. It broke out like news how she defied the Math teacher all the time, and how she got a very low grade for a subject which she excels the most. She lost her Honors just because of that. her father Hadji, had to come to school to complain that the teacher was maltreating her.

On Sheryl Cruz, Susan Roces, Sunshine Cruz
Sheryl Cruz was my high school classmate and friend at St. Paul College of Pasig. Tatum, who is her best friend and neighbor at Valle Verde, introduced her to me. I would then spend my lunch breaks eating with them often. She is super nice and sweet and will share her meals all the time, but I remember there were no other words that come out of her mouth other than Romnic Sarmenta. Our lunch topic is nothing else but him :P She would blush telling her stories of how sweet Romnic treats her.
We had a play in School, an excerpt from one of our text books, and I was part of it. She lent me her gown and her yaya lent me a beautiful string of pearls for my costume.
What was crazy is whenever we go out during school excursions, the crowd would just go all over her, and since I'm beside her, the buttons of my shirt would get unhooked from all the pulling, it was crazy.
I would stare at awe on Susan Roses whenever she drops by in school for Sheryl. Susan has the most flawless skin. Well Sheryl has the same. Her skin is actually apple-like, pinkish in hue, and so perfect. I have never seen any actors with the same skin. Sunshine Cruz is another beauty. I actually saw her grow up at the halls of St. Paul, from that oh so cute little blonde girl into a sexy siren. She looked so American or foreign as a kid, with her long silky blonde locks. She has a naturally light brown hair. She also became our neighbor at Greenpark Village in Pasig. She would attend gatherings, and people will just stare at her as if they were hypnotized, her height and beauty are both striking.
Remember when you were in high school and you owned this autograph book of all your friends where they wrote HOLLAND (Hope our love last and never end) and other corny acronyms abound, Sheryl wrote so many special personal things on mine. Too bad the maid stole my autograph book after I showed it to her.

Rota Mags and the Rojases, a clan of geniuses
Filipinos know Rota mags very well. They are very
popular to the average public although most enthusiasts don't recommend
them, as they are copycats from other well know brands like Ray's
Engineering or Mugen, using cheaper materials.
The Rojases own the Rota brand. Raymond "Ramby" Rojas was my classmate at De La Salle University, from the Honors Block of B&E 95. Being on the Honors Block, we have unlimited cuts and absences privilege. Ramby never attends Math classes, he shows up only during exams. And one time, he left after roughly 45 minutes, which has an entire duration of 3 hours. We all stared at a closed door after hearing him leave the classroom so fast and so loud, he actually banged the classroom door just to announce to everyone he had left. We were like wtf, he finished it so fast. Well I finished mine in 1.5 hours, but I will not leave the room for the rest of the 3 hours as I need to review all my answers at least twice. And by review, I actually repeat the entire exam on a scratch paper, without staring at my first answer, as to prevent me from overlooking and not noticing errors on my initial answers. I normally perfect Math exams, except when I'm careless.
So when the results of the exam were actually available, the professor said, "only one person perfected the exam, Mr. Raymond Rojas!" We then started clapping all are hands. We started respecting Ramby more from that day forth. Too bad he left after a year of schooling to go back to Ateneo, his alma mater, as according to him, he does not fit in the La Sallian culture, and he belongs in Ateneo more. He rarely speaks filipino, always english, and when he does, he is "bulol" and we make fun of him because of that. We never made fun of him after that exam. In a class full of Valedictorians and Dean's Listers, we really cannot fathom how fast and accurate he is in Math.

Where to buy the cheapest mags in the Philippines
I love cars, and I specially love them with nice rims.
Now where in the Philippines can you buy the cheapest mags?
The cheapest place where you can find it is along P. Tuazon in Cubao, Quezon City. No, not Banawe or even Makati, P. Tuazon is the place to go.

The best Chinese tablets in the Philippines
There are only 3 good brands of cheap chinese tablets you can buy:
1) Rich and HL
2) iRobot
3) Share
Do not even try to buy any other brand.
Specially don't even bother getting a Kata Tablet. Google about the many complaints against this tab.
All of these run on Cortex A9 Allwinner A13 Processors and are selling at P2,500 only for 7" models.
All are running Jellybean and have 8GB-16GB internal SD memory. Yes, they are in fact little SD cards when you open the tablet, soldered to the motherboard.
Dual cam
Those with sim slots sell for P3,200-P3,400.
Here is an iRobot tablet which I opened up myself.
Yes, I'm a gadget freak. I open anything with a transistor, motherboard, or even a radiator :P
Do not even believe the crap that tablets in malls are way better.
There are already dual core china tabs and they last just as long.
Even the CDR King tablets are good enough.
I should know because I always pester the staff at CDR King if I can check their tabs.
Why you should listen to me?
Because I sell chinese tablets as a sideline :P
Well a few tabs here and there, like an extra thing.
It doesn't earn much, but I am happy when I see kids happy.
I will post more on these tabs one by one.

How to cook the most delicious steak
1) Go to Robinsons Supermarket and buy the cheap Australian Wagyu beef, even the Y bone is so yum yum yum, some of them as cheap as P140.
2) Let your steak cool at room temperature.
3) Add salt and pepper.
4) Heat up your pan.
5) Add a little bit of olive oil.
6) When you see the pan smoking a bit, add the beef. You need to hear it sizzle. If there is none, remove the steak out of the pan and let it heat up.
7) Add butter and garlic to the pan.
8) After 1.5 mins turn over to the other side.
9) After a minute, remove from the pan.
10) Let it sit on your plate for at least 10 mins to relax the meat before eating.
11) Enjoy!
I will add a photo of my steak later :P

Belo Medical Group Obagi ZO Medical
I have known Vicki Belo's sister, Sylvia Cancio from way back 2002. They have different surnames because the Belos (immediate family of the Cancios), adopted Vicki from the Cancios, after they could not bear children.
I buy my skincare products from Belo Medical Group. I use Obagi Zo Medical. One set costs P19,955 but it is all worth it. Nothing compares to Obagi. The simple use of the products is a joy to behold.
Once you feel the strong tingling sensation and the wonderful yummy smell of the products, you will get used to it. Except your wallet will complain later on :P
For first time users, your skin will become flush and red, and will peel for a couple of days. Then it will become flawless.
Obagi is strong enough to erase all signs of skin imperfection.

Orlando Vea, Smart Founder, attends personally to customer complaints
Globe signal has been terribly weak early last year due to their infrastructure upgrades. Globe has been my only mobile phone carrier since 2001. I transferred to them from my old Smart line which I had since 1997, a company issued phone, not because Globe was any better than Smart, but because most people I know are on the Globe network, and I will save more money staying on the same network.
I never wanted to get a second line as my usage has greatly diminished from my old IDD calling days. My Globe bill has a credit limit of P15,000 which was way beyond the P2,500 limit and yet I have been diminishing my Plan from 10 years ago where I usually spend P10,000 a month for phone calls now down to Plan 299.
I have been texting and video calling loved ones for free across the globe using Apple's iMessage. I may have spent P30,000 on my Phone, but the corresponding savings it gave me in terms of Telecom bill reduction, has been extremely rewarding and cost efficient. You can reason out that I can get the same free calls and text using Android devices, but I've been there, done that, and Apple's iOS is my preferred platform over Android. And besides, I use OS X Mountain Lion as my Operating System so the integration is way better.
And then I saw online that Smart has a Freedom Plan. It is akin to their old Plan Zero, except it was like a Postpaid Plan that works like a Prepaid line. You can text in the service that you want for a certain month, and other months that you have no usage, you actually don't have to pay anything and they will never cut the line ever even if it has no usage. So that means, even if you go outside the country on trips or vacations, you don't have to worry about keeping your local line. Wow, what a Smart idea!
So I decided to revive my old Smart line. I went to one of their branches near my residence. I quickly filled in a service request and asked if I can use my old line, to which the Representative informed me that my old line is no longer available and they use special sims for the Freedom Plan, which has phone numbers pre-assigned. Without questioning, I agreed to have the new number and I got my new sim card which was activated within a few minutes. Wow again, that was fast :D
When I got home I kept pondering at the Representative's statement saying that my old number is no longer available, so I tried calling it just to check who owns it now. And lo and behold, it was still available. So I called Smart and requested that my number be changed, they kept insisting that it was not possible.
Being the persistent person that I am. I shooted an email to Dave Fernando and Orlando Vea, Smart founders. Both emails went through, but within a few minutes I received a reply from Mr. Vea sent from his iPad, asking how I am, and that he will work on the matter, so I can get my number back. Apparently, the said number is a Special Number reserved for their Smart Infinity clients that reach monthly bills of P5,000 and above as it was classified as a vanity number falling under the 09188XXXXXX series. They said it was special and very few are left and reserved for special clients. So that was the reason why, as the other staff never informed me. They had to release the said number to the Smart Gold plan so the system will allow me to use it on my meager Freedom Plan. Mr. Vea is already the CEO of Sun Cellular at that time, although is indirectly working for Smart.
I was also curious why Dave never replied as he is closer to me, the email did get through. I have walked his office floor and talked to him a lot in the past. At Smart, all the pens get lost all the time, that I even joke around saying I'm sick of my pens getting lost that I will place property of dtf on my pens just so people will not pocket them. I was informed that he died during the Ondoy flood. Condolences to such a great man.
There is a reason why some companies succeed more than others. And it is the likes of OB Vea that companies like Smart are so successful.
